This year, the Roger Cotton Prize for the best paper published in Histopathology (in 2007) went to Dr Bernadine Idowu of the Institute of Orthopaedics, University College London, Stanmore, UK for her paper "A sensitive mutation-specific screening technique for GNAS1 mutations in cases of fibrous dysplasia"(Histopathology 2007; 50; 691-704). Her co-authors were M Al-Adnani, P O'Donnell, L Yu. E Odell, T Diss, R E Gale and A M Flanagan

After the Dinner on the 28th November 2008, during the BDIAP Scientific meeting on Hepatobiliary and PancreaticPathology, the President, Professor Geraint Williams, presented the Division's Cunningham Medal for service to the British Division to past president, Professor Christopher Elston


At the same event, Professor Williams also presented the President's Medal for service to education in pathology to Professor Harold Fox.
